Psychological & Educational Consultancy Services ("PECS", "we", "us" or "our") provides psychological and educational assessment services in Subiaco, Western Australia. This policy explains how we handle the personal information and health information we collect.

Why we collect and use it

We collect, hold, use and disclose personal and health information to:

  • Provide psychological and educational assessment services to you.
  • Prepare assessment reports and communicate findings and recommendations.
  • Liaise, with your consent, with referrers, schools and other treating practitioners.
  • Process billing, rebates and NDIS or insurer claims.
  • Meet our professional, ethical and legal obligations as registered psychologists.

Disclosure of your information

We do not sell your personal information. We disclose it only where you have consented, or where disclosure is required or authorised by law - for example, to comply with mandatory reporting obligations or a court order, or where there is a serious and imminent threat to a person's life, health or safety.

Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Records are stored securely and retained in accordance with the professional and legal record-keeping obligations that apply to registered psychologists.

Access and correction

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. To make a request, contact us using the details below. In limited circumstances we may need to decline access, in which case we will explain why.
